4th year in the doc program and I still can’t believe I’m nearing the finish line. I have one more year of classes and then off to my Pre-doc internship! This semester has been so busy. It’s been my busiest yet. I’m finishing up my hours for NCSP and LSSP licensure this semester by splitting my time between a Charter School and our program’s Assessment Center. My case load consists of 2 academic interventions, behavior intervention, and developing a therapy group for children of divorced parents at the Charter school. I have 3 clients from the Assessment clinic, all of which were referred for ADHD assessment. I’m doing a full Psychoeducational evaluation on all 3. After this semester I’ll have a good 1400 hours, well above the minimum requirements for licensure as an LSSP and NCSP.
In addition, to internship I’m taking 3 classes, Multivariate Statistics, Severe Disabilities and Autism. Also starting on my dissertation. Ugh…is it weird that I hate doing research? Well, starting it. I have so many ideas and I need to narrow it down. Also, comprehensives are next month. Oh joy!
I also work! Starting up some grants to fund our assessment clinic, collaborating on 4 papers for publication, and presenting at conferences. I’m also a lead instructor in our Basic Skills clinic. Like I said, busy ya’ll!Ya’ll send good vibes my way! I’m tired…lol.
Class is cancelled tonight! I think I’m gonna give in to Tumblr and watch Sleepy Hollow and work on my presentation for TASP (Texas Association for School Psychologists) conference!
It’s gonna be a good night 😊😊😊
